Sorry to revive such an old thread, but this issue still exists. Octane doesn't find Cuda devices when you try to run it over Remote Desktop Connection, actually you can't even open Nvidia driver settings over the connection. Most likely Windows activates some RDP specific drivers while the connection is open.radiance wrote:that does'nt make any sense at all...FamilyGuy wrote:Yes. if octane runs on the desktop PC, and it won't run through a remote connection you're doing something wrong...
the only issue i could imagine is that it would run but you might not see the image displayed remotely.

Is there any known way to make Octane see the Cuda device over RDP? I guess I could script it to run after the connection has been closed, but that's a bit awkward.
