You can run Octane on Amazon EC2. It's a bit tricky to get set up, since Octane has no headless mode, but I have done it. You need to be comfortable with Linux, VNC, X, SSH, and something like DrQueue if you want a proper cluster with multiple automated nodes. You can run a number of concurrent EC2 instances, but you have to fill out a form to spin up more than 8 at a time. Obviously you'll need as many Octane licenses as nodes in the cluster. I haven't yet worked out automating entering your Octane Live credentials when you load Octane for the first time on the node, but I expect you can use, well,
expect.
