Fair enough - Good luck in the last stretch of the endeavour (I know several people lining up to buy and we are hoping we can use it on a project ourselves)

Thanks for the reply & looking forward to the grand unveiling. I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Best

if people want to already buy the license, you can.
then it will take less time once it's release, eg you can dl it instantly,
instead of going through the registration and payment and having us contact you with infos.

is anyone interested to do that ?
if so,
i could open up a page tomorrow or something with a pre-ordering functionality.

would be good for us too so we can get some income in the company as to invest in some more testing hardware.

I wonder if paying will possibly extend the deadline - financial pressure is good incentive to release. If this pressure is removed when everyone pays then it might push the deadline.

However....I will buy tomorrow

....if I get a guaranteed date when this will be available.

...alternatively a current version (0.81) with save / load unlocked would be fine also (obviously to the people who have purchased licenses)....

In short, I have had bad times in the past with promised deadlines that have been missed and in some cases never shown up at all (thank you Dinamicam Jib (spain) who never sent me anything after taking 1350 euros of my money) so, call me cynical but I won't pay money unless I get some guarantee in return.

Does this seem fair?

Hi guys,

I updated the purchase page, get to it with the 'get octane' page.
If you want, you can pre-order your beta license.

Hi,

well, that's entirely up to you.
I can only say that the beta will be available at the end of next week.
I can't give an exact date as i'm not sure, and i would'nt want to dissapoint anyone if i gave a date and the release were pushed back a few days.

We're taking the time we need to provide a well documented, complete and polished beta release,
not a rushed out of the door v0.81 with loading and saving enabled, but additional, often asked for features.

Also, at these prices i don't think anyone can do much complaining... ;)

Yours,
Radiance

Nice Radiance
The page is very wide (a lot more than 960px)
You should correct that as some users still got small screens

Yes thanks
Was not for me, my smallest screen is 20 inch
But 960px wide for content (text) is the standard to support people from 1024*768px screens
