i have a geforce gt330 on my windows7 32 bit system and new drivers wont install properly-it gets less than half way through installing and my screen goes mostly blank except for "invalid format" flashing up-the only way to get rid of this is to restart my computer in safe mode and do a system restore- i want to try the demo on this computer it is the one i have on the internet- i will buy octane today if i can get this problem fixed

Is it a desktop GPU or an integrated laptop one ?

looks like the GT330 is a lightweight desktop - around 100 cores.

It should work.It would just be very slow running octane.

thank you for your replies, i have just spent the last couple of hours swapping my 64 bit system onto the internet, mostly getting my anti virus program sorted as a priority. The demo works quite well even with a single graphics card
so i'll go ahead and buy octane now and i'll get another gpu fitted in the next few weeks. I am doing a sci fi comic with poser and vue and i really want to add octane to my work flow as its realistic rendering is what i have always wanted for my work

My suggestion if you have 2no PCIE x 16 slots available on you motherboard would be to use your current card for display and the new card for rendering only. That way you could use octane and still do other things on the computer whilst it is rendering away.Best cards would be GTX560TI 2mb. The extra on board memory would be useful for high resolution scenes. If you could afford it though the best for future proofing would be the GTX580 - 3MB cards. They are popular with the Octaneers here.
