i know some of them are quite impossible to integrate...
hierarch. order:
*1*
REAL MOTION BLUR ( or vector but of course 'real MB'would be coherent with the general extrem quality of octane...) -> i know camera blu exists but it isn't enough
DISPLACEMENT MAPPING ( like micro disp. of mental ray... )
image sequence mapping for animated bitmap textures ( with alpha option, like stills: excellent) and backgrounds ( helps for compositing )
A possibility to tweak the GPU POWER USED ( ie 90% power )-> to let some little power to use for the graphic card during rendering ( my case, the mono-GTX470 is very hard to use for multitasking )
*2*
GLARE process on surfaces
GLOW process on surfaces
VOLUMETRIC LIGHTNING ( possibility to create & param. insisde Octane volumetrics light, animatable ? )
animatable controls of camera ( we can control with maya the DOF quantity nut is it possible to control the BLUR-RANGE DISTANCE -> i did'nt find how)
*3*
caustics
more procedural textures
Personnal wishes for octane future features

-possility to hide objects (specially for lighning objs ) to light the scene without seeing the source light
-line batch render of animation scenes without displaying the octane screen for each new frame
-render of animation scenes without displaying the octane screen for each new frame (disturbing during multitasking works...)

actually working on animations for a job with octane, i ask you again a very appreciated wish:
the option to make octane run on BACKGROUND TASK( to avoid thr intempestive window opening when working on multitasked projects while octane is rendering the animation ).
I'm sure this option would be easy to inegrate in preferences ( or in the exporters menu ).
Hope you will listen to my request...
I'm waiting for the promise-full 2.5 version...
