Luving Octane :D Just using simple scenes at first to get to know it.

Just trying out straight obj export of whisky glass scene from sketchup Pro ( model by tomer1981 in 3d warehouse) . Rendertime 16.5 mins, would probably have been great at 5 to 10, but was not watching it. I was also having a lot of crashes but when I turned off screen saver - no more. :?:

sketchucation

Wood seems a little under scale, and glass might be hovering, both my fault, and my ice is a little silver  But I'm very happy how good it looks with my first go.
Only PP was to use hotpixel, can't wait for MTL.

Hey,

Nice work, but the colour of the whisky is a bit too light/yellow.
maybe adding a tad more orange to is and slightly darker ?

I'd try something like rgb(243;153;62) and IoR 1,356 (should make an acceptable Jack Daniels !)
;)
