Came across this sometime ago but it seems there's been an update, it's a pretty cool tool, not very feature savvy at the moment, but if you don't own ZBrush/Mudbox/3DC then you can at least try this. It exports to OBJ format.

About 15 minutes playtime :)

I've found that it's easier to sculpt with the mouse rather than the tablet! Hopefully that will be addressed someday...

The products look very alike (the sculpting software), with exception to the firefly device. Looks a little over sensitive to me, I'm sure you'll be able to change that but I think it will be a little disconcerting at first, i.e. the first time you use a GFX tablet.

samartin, thanks very much for this link, I have not stopped playing with this programme, I love it!

I really like the way it feels to sculpt in it.

I love the simplicity of it, I also like the localised LOD system he's got in place. Apparently he has code for pressure sensitivity lying around that he might be able to get in there :)

Also I've asked what his plans are for the release, i.e. commercial? His response was that he doubts it, but he may offer it as donationware.

Samartin - sweet program. I like the feel of the brushes even though its alpha software they feel great. It start to slow down around 200,000 - 400,000 triangles. Wish there was a key for smooth ala Zbrush/Mudbox(ctrl/alt, something along those lines). I really think he should go commercial with it, as it has alot of potential! pressure sensitivity would be welcome :D

I started out with the default sphere - messed around with it for an hour or 2! fun!!

I will probably do some retopo and texturing in blender when I am finished, and render in Octane with sunsky when that is available.

Indeed! I just started playing with Sculptris a few days ago and this program has potential beyond measure. The interface is extremely intuative. The sculpting process is very simple and the results are stunning.
