it has 4gb per GPU which makes it about the same as a c1060 (- 4GB memory and 240 cores) practically speaking in terms of memory load (also 4 x c1060 cards would also cost a lot less than a single s1070 too)

4gbs sounds like it should be plenty at 100mb per million polys and if texture and geometry instancing is in play.

If not however, there is also new versions coming out later in the year Nvidia told me. (Tesla C2050 – 3GB memory and 512 cores & Tesla C2070 – 6GB memory and 512 cores)

Exciting times with Octane poised to go commercial this week (hopefully - fingers x-ed)

I wish nvida would allow for a ram expansion slot to fit on top of the card with its own seperate memory addresser. That way it has an expandable option. 24gb of vram would be welcomed :0)
