Octane is crashing 100% of the time once I click on the obj node. I'm using an eVGA GTX570 but if I'm using my other card ( GTX 260 ) Octane is running ok.

I've tried different drivers with the same results...

Is it driver related ( currently on the 270.51 )?
The card is working great in 3D, but could the card have issues only related to CUDA?
Is this somehow an issue with Octane itself?

I doubt it's Octane, since a lot of people successfully use this card. Maybe it's your card that has problems.

Did previous versions of Octane also crash? Have you been able to render anything on the 470?

This very likely driver/hardware related. Please do a simple test: Open Octane, and create a diffuse material node and select it. The material ball scene should appear and Octane should start rendering. If it crashes, it's driver or hardware related. Please make a clean install of the graphics driver, reboot and try again.

If that still doesn't work, it may be hardware related. In that case I don't see any other possibility than to try with a different graphics card.

Cheers,
Marcus

Thanks for your replies !

Taking my second card out fixed the issue so it's either my PSU failing at delivering as much power as it used to or some conflict between both cards. At least Octane is running fine now. Thanks again.

Take in mind that if you have two different cards e.g. one stock overclocked, insert faster one in the first slot on your mobo. Otherwise, your computer will go craze. It took me 10 days to resolve the problem with 2x 580.
