Most of the times octane freeze on closing with more complex scenes.
No problems during the render process.
GPU and system temperatures are normal (GPU 60°).
Hi,

unfortunately I couldn't reproduce your problem. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have been using the latest official NVIDIA driver 260.19.44. Maybe your driver is not working correctly?

Cheers,
Marcus

HDRI image doesn't work for me on 2.45 RC cuda 3.0 Linux

I get the "File Format Error", but the image loads fine on 2.44

Problem solved.

I was trying out some images that I was downloading on my desktop, my linux is in Portuguese so the desktop is called "Áread de Trabalho". Moving the images to a folder without spaces or Latin character solved the issue.

Hm, i have change to 260.19.44 but same freeze or crash.
Until rendering it is no problem, runs til 40 - 50 minutes but if i try to save an image, load float image or quit if freeze or crash.
Very strange is, after crash i have to reload ies files or change names back, although saving ocs before crash.

If no other linux user have these problems i think about hardware errors. :(

Cheers mib

Just to be on the safe side - could you try the same with the CUDA 3.0 build?

Thanks,
Marcus

The only time that that I have seen Octane hang is on exit. Then I will have to kill it, although I haven't had this happen in a long while. It got better, I think, when I rebooted. Mib, what is your uptime? Maybe the driver or something else has a memory leak or gets confused over time?

a default scene can now be saved, which will be used as template for all new projects.

How Can I do that?

Ps. Congratulations for the improvements Octane Team!

I also have not encountered any crashes or freezes so far on Linux. I use CUDA 3.0
