Hey, nothing broken I hope :-)

2.57RC1 is build 35899 and I'm still with 35884 (no svn update since 2 days). It should work with 1.09d... If not I can't do anything today but will fix this WE.

Enjoy!
Lionel

It didn't seem to work yesterday when I tried it. I did then grab the very latest SVN which also claimed to be 2.56.5 (Oddly the version that comes up with what they are calling 2.57) and this did work. I'm not sure what the difference between the SVN and the actual release could be when they both claim to be the same version.

Just tried with 35944 and see no problem. I'll make an attempt with a download from blender.org.

[EDIT] works fine with 2.57RC1 from blender.org. Just need to re-install addon from GUI as files are not stored at same place.

When I try that, I get a "missing script files" error.

Ok, I've got it working via a manual install into the addons directory.

I had same as you and fixed by installing from addon menu. If think this is because addon is registered to blender, but looks for files at another location. It would be interesting you check if this is the case for you. On my system, the installed blender puts addons in my .blender/2.56/scripts/addons directory, while a manually downloaded one will put them in it's own subdirectory.

Doesn't it depend on where you told the installer to put the files?

Sorry, maybe I misunderstood what you were saying.

My addons are in (obviously slightly different because I am using windows)
C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.56\scripts\addons
