Hi,
how to make the Octane render the atmosphere or fog/smog/dust? For scenes of cities, etc. would be great. ;)

Many polygons placed in front of the camera, covering the entire picture frame and spreading from the camera to the horizon. The material is simple diffuse with very little opacity. A gradient can be used for ground fog.

It comes with render time penalty of course, starting from 2x and going up the denser the fog.
i7 2600K, 12GB RAM, GTX 470 x 3, Win 7 64, C4D R11 Studio, VRay, Octane
i7 920, 10GB RAM, GTX 480 x 2, Win 7 64, After Effects CS3, Premiere Pro
