ok.... i now correct myself (well- approximately so..)
this seems to be the leaked pic of GTX 590...too bad it would be priced around 800 USD, and its seriously downclocked (612 Mhz, compared to gtx 580 which is 772 Mhz) if the leak is true..) maybe to keep the power requirement down...
memory frequency is also low (3420 Mhz, compared to Gtx 580 with 4008 Mhz..)
and to top it all- just 3 gb ram (1.5gb x 2)
and 100$ more expensive than its rival- HD6990
i dont like it that much

It does seem suspicious that CUDA 4.0 has been released around the same time as these cards are due and that CUDA 4 can use pooled memory.

Abstrax was talking about massive latency issues and not being practical using this facility on 2 seperate cards. However this being just one card may negate that issue. Not sure,it's just conjecture on my part at this stage.

It's going to need a well healed tester, once this card is released to try it out. ;)

oh my, i hope that would be possible. can anyone on the octane team enlight us with something about this?

Not sure this card runs with half ram on Octane or with full 3GB memory. Does it faster with quad SLI setup? Please any God loved Octane users make one tiny review please.

Now we have the prices.
Cheapest Uk price i have seen is £575 GBP

Now to get to 1024 cores using 2 x 580's would cost at least £760 GBP this seems to be a bit of a bargain.

Assuming they get rid of the bursting into flames mode of operation or at least provide a complimentry Nvida branded Fire exstinguisher.
