Bucket not implemented yet, sorry! (only the interface at the moment, I need to redo some internal stuff before it works)

1.10 seems to be fine here. I'm a very basic user though so I'll just run through what I did.

Downloaded 1.10 from earlier post, Downloaded BF 64bit Win r35701.
Unpacked r35701, ran blender from the unpacked folder. Noticed that it had my recent blend files listed from the older version I'm using with 1.09 (not sure if thats relevent, but thought i'd mention it just in case).
Installed addon 1.10 zip in user preferences. Showed up as "Render: Octane Render Extended", Ticked box.
Loaded current project, renamed project file and path to a new test folder, changed image output path to new test folder. Changed timeline to 3 frames, Hit "Render Animation". All seems good.

Very simple blend file though, if there is anything else I can help with like test scenes etc etc then I'm only too happy to help.

Yo Lionel,
How ya been my friend?
Just installed 64bit win7 and just now getting everything tweaked to where I can build blender again, well 1st time building 64bit builds but it's cool :)
My first build I noticed that they changed the directorys around, no more scripts/io directory, where are you putting your 1.09c exporter these days? I tried the addons directory and failed...
or should I just try to use the install addon option?

Later bro,

Cheers,

Andy

Hi Andy,

I put it in the addon directory, but install from blender also works. BTW, if your build is very recent you must go for 1.10 which I posted somewhere here I think... :-)

Cheers,
Lionel

Thanks Lionel, I was about to ask about that, just noticed 1.09d on the frist page ;)
So 1.10 is the one to go for with daily builds? I'll stay with it then. :D

Hi Alvaro,
in fact 1.10 is a work-in-progress version with unfinished stuff such as bucket rendering (only interface is implemented, the code behind is still unfinished). With latest svn you can use this one or 1.09d, both will do (almost) the same at the moment.

Hey, i was trying to install both 1.09 and 1.10 plugins on this build http://www.graphicall.org/builds/builds ... ow&id=1650

I read the doc. The plugin has installed properly, but i can't check it in Addons panel. it is there but i can't turn it on. Am i doing smtg wrong? I know it is still developed, but mayby it can work with all the patches and new addons :)

Odd. I had this same problem a few weeks back. For me, all I had to do was close the user preferences dialog and reopen it. Did'nt make sense, but it worked.

A build from 10th march is too old for 1.10 or 1.09d. There has been recent chenges in blender API that required updating the script.
For any version you may anyway not be able to select it just after the installation, but if you exit/restart blender it should become selectable in the addon panel...
