I've been using only laptops for the past 8yr...my working machine is an HP6226...
runs everything (C4D, Carrara, Hexagon, Bryce, ZBrush) very well except VUE & Messiah Studio.
I just got an ASUS Republic of Gamers G73 in Dec, and it really rocks, but sadly has an ATI card, though
a good one, not cuda. =(
Didn't really plan to get another computer, but got a license for Octane, so gotta do it!
I have AR3 for C4D, and it's a very good renderer, but after seeing those done with Octane,
just no comparison. And being able to render in realtime is.....unreal! =O
Yeah, it may be wishful thinking to be able to use C4D & Octane at the same time, but will try.
And will make sure I get an motherboard with at least 2 pc express slots (I think that's what
the GTX560 needs) to add another if necessary, so one could be devoted to rendering...didn't
know you could do that....neat.
Also, may have to attach my portable air-conditioner to it, or at least open
the side panel an put a floor fan on it! =)
Or better yet, use the render box as a portable heater in the winter!
