I usually use objects exported from daz3d into octane. Since last version i have the feeling that the mesh import process works better, with less errors than previously.
But I have a problem with textures. The texture are no more imported into octane.
At the end of the import process, I have all the objects on the scene, with all the materials correctely assigned, but they are all diffuse and completely white.
The name of the materials are correct, but without any texture, neither in the diffuse nor in the bump.
I have to reassign the texture to the materials (diffuse, bump, ...). It's not really a big problem but it's a loss of time and it can be tricky because the name of the textures are not always 'self-evident'. It was working correctely on the previous versions (2.42 and 2.43).
Is there something that I should do differently ? Or would there be a workaround ?
Texture problem.

Several people have reported this issue. Unfortunately I can't reproduce it here. I must be missing something important. Did you use any non-ASCII characters for the texture file names or the directories they are stored in? If not, could you please send us an example scene?teecee2107 wrote:I usually use objects exported from daz3d into octane. Thank you for your fast answer, Marcus.
First of all, I'm gonna check the name of the textures into the mtl file and then, if I don't find anything special, i'll send you a simple scene (obj + mtl + textures maps + ocs, okay ?).

Yes, that would be great.teecee2107 wrote:Thank you for your fast answer, Marcus.

Yes, see here: http://www.refractivesoftware.com/forum ... f=9&t=5765
Until the next version is out, please use beta 2.43 in parallel to do the initial import or fix the texture paths in the MTL file manually (by removing the leading '/' of the paths).
Cheers,
Marcus
