Hi,
is it possibe to animate octane specific attributes over time via scripts or an other solution?
Changing attributes frame by frame directly from maya would be great.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

virtually any feature in octane can be animated over time, some from your host app and the rest by writing a custom script for your host app that deals with any feature you want to animate in octane.
The default plugins are limited in such ways that they are working and consistent.
It is up to you if you want to expand this operation into delicate matters.
However you need to know that if Refracted software decides to change setup, names or anything in the OCS file format you will need to update your scipt.

Start by identiying the features you need to animate in a OCS file and batch modify the OCS along with the host app export and so forth.

Not tivial, but its neither impossible, just takes time to map the entire UI to controlers in your host.

Id surgest you start with the features you like.

You cannot count on refractive support on these actions, but im sure users will aid.
