I'm considering buying Octane because of the GPU rendering.
So once i got my new mac pro, i'm going to buy the Quadro 4000, here are the questions: Does anyone have experience with a mac pro and a quadro 4000? what is the performance? Is this a right decision?
I'm looking forward to an answer.
kind regards B.C. Dreier Gligoor

Hi,
I just got a refurbished MacPro with a Geforce GT 120. I am looking into buying Octane render with either a Geforce 480 or 580.
Do you know if it's possible to install those cards on a mac pro?? if so, can they work on the mac side?
Thank you very much.

You can put a GTX4/5 PCI-E card in it, but it won't work in Mac OS X until apple releases support for it in OS X,zoozou wrote:Hi,

it will work when you boot into windows via bootcamp, where you can install official Nvidia Windows drivers.

Thanks a lot.
Another quick question though: could i have both the GT 120 and GTX 4/5 installed on the mac pro, and use each one separately for both systems? meaning the 120 would be used for the OSX side and the 480 for the Windows side??
Thanks
