The macronode for material is a pain for for everyday work.
And the navigation (rotation) in 3d unbelievable in a 3d soft like octane.
dont know the problem with macronodes and why you need them daily but your navigation problem is maybe just a wrong up vector setting of the cam.
up vector needs to be 0/1/0.

cheers dave

Abstrax

it has already been mentioned but here goes..

not sure about the colour of the text used for labeling up along the various sliders.

It's not as clear as the previous releases.

Looks like it's been changed to a light grey.

Keeping it white may have been better.

otherwise.Yes i agree with your comment. smaller incremental increases my be the way to go in future. It keeps the community from getting twitchey about octanes Development if nothing else. ;)

We made this change to make the Node Inspector less "hectic". There is still a lot going on, but bright on dark for the slider tickers seemed to look less "stressed" than black on dark. Do you prefer black on darker grey or white on dark grey?

Cheers,
Marcus

It's the only maner to reuse saved material in new scene, no :(
and for mouse navigation, I think about a point click to fix a pivot point on screen and then rotate with left mouse :)

If you use the camera zoom picking mode, then you have your pivot point...

Hi guys,

This was a quick bugfix release, to solve problems rendering animations and livedb corruption bugs.
We're working on new features for the next update, and the multi-gpu with recent cuda versions is of high priority, together with the new render kernel.

Note that we have another developer starting work next week :)
So development will get faster.

I will announce our new team member next week in the news forum.
