I have an issue with a simple picture of a half sphere.
There is a black area bordering not rendered orange.
Why?

the mapping are indentations on the 3 oranges.
Faces when everything is ok, but no good when the side was a gray area.
Note : Rendering with pathtracing

Sorry, but I don't know, what's going on here. On a first glance it looks like a normal problem (i.e. make sure that all normals point outward). It could also be some kind of self-shadowing effect. How big is your scene, what's your ray epsilon? It dependent on the viewing angle? Maybe you can post a simple test scene that shows this problem.maams wrote:The same pb.
