Is possible add a vga with socket PCIe x16 in socket of my motherboard that is 1 (x4) PCI-e (using x16) slot?
I might damage something?

Is only for the visualitation of autocad, rhino, photoshop...ecc..

The rule in the industry is that if it fits, it will work and will not be damaged. (this is regarding pcie slots)

The card will work but if it is a 16x fitting slot with 4x speed, the data path between the card and the host will be slower off course.
If you use this gnu for octane, it should be fine as octane does not need fast communication between gpu and CPU.

Do you think pci-e 1x is enough for octane?
