ok, so I went a press the "live db" tab and got one of the materials. How do I attach the material to one of the objects in my model now?

You just drag a connection from the output of the material macro (the circle) to the input triangle on the mesh object

If you need to know which triangle corresponds to which surfaces in your scene, just pick the right surface with the material picker and the triangle will become highlighted.

EDIT: checkout this tutorials, gzavye posted just now :D

My little suggestion to the developers would be... If in later version, you can just go to the model outliner find the material you want to change, right click on it and load the new materials. I think that would be sweet and more streamline in terms of work flow.

Still, I'm really happy getting this software! You guys Rock!!
