it also make it much easier. on the principle of animation, just choosing the camera and the mood of the scene
please add this feature in the exporter, I want to sleep already half a year, do not sleep enough due to the fault-octane
I do not need caustic, RLT, I'm okay with the current octane cope ... I want to sleep normally
sorry for bad English ... just really tired already accumulated ... to sit for hours behind the monitor


Exporter for 3ds max modify! He's not been updated since the summer. the most miserable of all exporters

Are you experiencing crashes? I have not used the animation feature much, just tested it with simple scenes.

Hi kilaD
I tried this past days to render a simple walkthrough animation.
This is what I come to and here are my questions:
-The script blocks completely the max UI and if Octane crashes I have to proboque max crashing too to can get out of the loop. Is this as it is meant to be?
-I just animated the camera, each frame took about 1 minute rendering and 2 minutes loading because for each frame it has to load twice the geometry one for the base ocs file and 1 for the new geometry (that in my case was 0 new geometry only new camera position) Isn't it possible to octane mantain the base scene open so only have to load the cam coordinates and render the samples for the same geometry? I thought that was the way it should do when I check the ONLY CAMERA checkbox in the script.
-octane crashes every 43 frames (so I have to be there for the whole rendering proccess) because as said in point 1 everytime octane crashes I have to make max crash because the script go nutZ.
-GT is AWSOME!! Thank you!
Take a look @ the unofficial blender plugin, yoyoz is doing a great job and going somewhere there.

Each frame will loaded because Octane have only a commandline.
There is no way to interact with.
Camera only means that you save time because the mesh isn´t exported any frame...

Every script blocks the app so longs it´s running.
If you render a scene with MentalRay, it blocks also the ui till you press cancel/abort...

The geometry point is clear now for me (totally noob in command line stuff), but cannot octane remain opened and only reimportthe modified obj with the new camera position?
About blocking the ui, I mean, yes every script blocks the ui but when cancelled rendering you should recover the control like in MR or whatever.
