Hi all,

Here's a little preview of one of the features coming in the next release.

Users can enable anaglyphic stereo.
This makes the render viewport render fully 3D,
and with the appropriate glasses, you see the model in 3D.

It works instantly, there is no speed impact, and you can navigate/manipulate/edit while wearing your 3D glasses just like you use octane render right now.
The DOF focal length / autofocus is used to determine the focus of the 3d perspectives from both eyes.

I've attached 2 examples.
One is for the popular Cyan/Red type glasses,
and the other for the Green/Magenta type glasses.

The Cyan/Red type seems to be the most popular glasses in use.
(you can change these filter colours in the octane camera properties (to accomodate any type of filter colour glasses) and the amount of 3d depth in real-time)

If you have a pair of these glasses, look at the images and you'll see the 3D effect.
The paper-type glasses come with most 3D DVDs or magazines or other types.
You can construct some yourself if you have some plastic filter paper.

More information about it here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anaglyph_image

So if you're interested in using this feature,
get hold of some 3d glasses before we release the next update.

Just saw it with the 3D glasses included with my Coraline DVD :geek: 8-) ... just amazing :o !!! The green/magenta picture has a really good 3d effect, better than what I've seen in 3D cinema's.
