Here are some renderes I am working on for a company that sells plastic Surgery Medication. They needed a middle aged woman to show how the procedure worked. The Character is designed in Daz and Cinema and rendered in octane. I am very happy with the result of the realistic look of the skin.

Yep, that skin tex is pretty good.
I like the "non" v4 look that you have achieved. Are they your specific tex maps, or a stock item? I really like the "ageing lines" around the eyes etc.
Well done.

Acrually it is a V$, with an "aging morph", a "vanessa" skin texture, and "Bijou hair. The difficult part was getting it all to work correctly in Octane. The next step will be harder: Animation!teknofreek wrote:Yep, that skin tex is pretty good.

Looks real. Who needs SSS when you have such a nice renderer.
Specs: win7 64 bit, intel i7 8-core [email protected], 12GB, gts 450 1gb, gtx 470 1.25 gb, Blender 2.6.1, 3D-coat 3.5
Great!
Would be nice to see how you did your skin shader in octane...
A thing I have to say: the iris is too big.
Just make it smaller, lower the depth of field and it will be almost perfect.
Cheers

Thanks for all of your nice feedback.
I agree that the DOF is strong. This however had a very specific reason which you will see in one of my next posts. The client wants me to visualize different injection techniques under the skin (for wrinkle removal). Therfore I wanted to shoew the client that you could use high DOF to focus the attention of the viewer on a specific area of tze face. The size of the Iris in comparison to the patients eye size is actually correct ( I am an Opthalmologist). The reseon it looks to large is because of the upper eye lid sag "dermatochalasis" due to the age of the patient. This is one of the things the virtual patient will be used to demonstrate" Again thanks for all of your nice feedback
