I call it sharkship (primarily just because of the fin).
like "someone" saidGaus wrote:I have been reading a book on artistic compositions lately, and the author recommends doing one composition a day for a year and claims that a persons abilities will improve dramatically with this practice.
The book is recommending sketches with a focus on simplifing masses and tonal quality, but I am trying to apply the same line of thinking to producing practice CG models and renders.
I am working toward creating architectural models more quickly, and of reasonalbly high quality in order to have the models needed to practice rendering. So far the modeling is coming along fairly well, but I have yet to do anything but play with the demo files in Octane.
I would like to think that we are both on the right track to improving our skills. Whether it is a sketch a day or a model a week, I think the important thing is that we practice to improve our skills on a regular basis.
Good luck.
