ok I know I should probably post this on a blender forum, but there seems to be some pretty knowledgeable people here so I'll give it a go here first -
Im wondering if there is a way to import a vector path (most likely a .ai) into blender and then combine it with face so that the face remains flat but that the imported path is on it and extrudable/selectable
sorry if I'm not explaining myself well - but say for example an old coca cola bottle (well ok if it was a flat plane) - so if I could import a path of the Coca-Cola logo and combine it to the face and then extrude or indent with it afterwards - basically Im trying to cookie cut an object I have out of another mesh and I really dont like the results of the boolean - when I bring it into render theres tonnes of duplicate faces on top of each other and it looks terrible - and no matter how I try to clean it up it doesnt fix it
any help is very much appreciated
