Cheers

Edit agai:

thank you very much face and ttaberna!

Sorry if I mislead you guys
The dll is already with octane exe inside the zip. check it!
You don't have to actually copy it, I wanted to say that it must go there, and actually is there.
So you can download both zips from first page in this post, unzip them in different folders and u are ready to go with any of both versions.
Sorry again
BTW I am working with the 266.58 drivers from the nvidia web page. The normal drivers.

What kind of crash? Can u give more clues about the crashing procedure?
It's actually quite random, and is different time slots. I could open an OBJ file in octane, tweak materials and lighting and change over to daylight system, seems fine. Open the same scene later and go to Daylight parameters and then it crashes.

This is the message it displays: OCTANE HAS STOPPED WORKING - TRYING TO FIND SOLUTION.

am running Windows 7 64x Ultimate

I might be wrong but am wondering if it's to do with the servers and theres small outages.

Hi matty I'm trying to replicate it but have no success.
It didn't crash. Did you try differnet obj files?

I tryed a simple teapot on plane scene and worked, then tryed a more complex scene like a room with lots on geometries and materials and then displayed the crash message. Try loading a big scene. It may have not been an issue at all.

@Matty: Will try that tomorrow at office (In Barcelona it is almost 4 in the morning)
@Sam: I think this is a writting bug, I mean that it is only a mistake writting it on octane.

It's correct, 3.02 means 3.2, it's another small bug we need to fix.

Hi,

I saw the following in the release notes:

Code: Select all

- Material relinking and emitter relinking from plugins bug is fixed.
Does it mean there's a MTL directive that will make Octane import a material as an emitter?

Thanks,
Lionel
