Hello,

I have a question for the development team regarding the current licensing system.

Would it be possible to implement a system that doesn’t require checking the subscription status every time we open a project in Octane?
My internet connection isn’t always stable, and when it’s down, I’m unable to work because the software can’t verify the license.

It would be great to have a grace period — for example, a system that checks the license once every few days or once a week, similar to how some other renderers handle it.

Thanks for considering this suggestion!

For this I would suggest converting one of your licenses to use offline activation with a USB dongle.

Helpful discussion on making Octane’s licensing more flexible. A grace‑period system would definitely support artists with unstable connections and keep workflows running smoothly

Hi. This already exists in current versions of Octane, are you hitting a specific problem at the moment?

Kiana39,
I’ve experienced similar licensing interruptions, and having a short offline grace period with periodic license verification would make Octane much more reliable for users with unstable internet connections.

What version are you on? As I mentioned above, this already exists in current versions.
