This is a build for the 2026.3 version of Octane.
New features and the Octane 2027 will be next.
The settings for Meshlets and Virtual texturing are in the plugin settings. (Easy access in the dropdown menu: Octane -> Plugin Settings)
When set to manual (which is default), you can rightclick StaticMeshes and Textures assets in the content browser and
turn them on by going to the Octane section. (This is similar to how nanite is turned on for meshes)
Note that you need to reload the virtual assets in octane in order for settings changes to take affect.
Note: There are currently stability issues with both Virtual Texturing and Meshlets. When encountering render failures it is adviced to turn virtual settings off
Octane for Unreal Engine
Changes:
- Upgraded to Octane 2026.3
- Pressing the render button on rendertargets now turns scene updating to active
- Re-added Unreal 5.5
