Hi,
I followed your instruction, extract catalog from archicad and rename ( french ) folders to match yours. I Reconvert all materials from ArchiCAD.
When I select a material in archicad the texture path seems to be ok : See capture below
But when I render in Octane : surfaces with textures are black. Textures are not in diffuse RGB texture ( empty )
I join you the Octane log as text.
Octane don"t search textures in the right place :
File Load Error: Could not load 'C:\Users\Utilisateur\Graphisoft\Enregistrement automatique-Archicad-29\Emb_3555082108\content\AC29SurfaceCatalog\Catalogue de surfaces\Catalogue de surfaces\[TImg] Textures\Béton\Béton - cru cb -opt.jpg:rgba'.
Hope it can help.
Best regards.

Does the C:\Users\Utilisateur\Graphisoft\Enregistrement automatique-Archicad-29\Emb_3555082108\content\AC29SurfaceCatalog\Catalogue de surfaces\Catalogue de surfaces\[TImg] Textures\Béton folder exist please?

No need to rename anything if you are extracted the library as I think this will break the links.and rename ( french ) folders to match yours.
Perhaps a better location to export the Surface Catalog to is C:\AC29SurfaceCatalog (which is a more portable solution if you are copying the ArchiCAD project to other PC's). Then you can "Add Linked Library" the C:\AC29SurfaceCatalog folder in the Library Manager. You probably should also "Remove" the "Surface Catalog.libpack" library too (this removes the 3000 duplicate warnings). Then click "Reload and Apply".

Hi,
I'm the only one who can't make texture appear in Octane ?
Archicad search texture in right place : AC29SurfaceCatalog and Archicad surfaces objects in 3d vue are ok.
No error in log when open octane viewport. But no texture in octane viewport.
When I Re-convert all material from archicad, and run octane viewport , I get error ( for all texture ) like :
File Load Error: Could not load 'C:\Users\Utilisateur\Graphisoft\Enregistrement automatique-Archicad-29\Emb_3555082108\content\AC29SurfaceCatalog\Catalogue de surfaces\Catalogue de surfaces\[TImg] Textures\Métal\Métal - Inox brossé 02 -opt.jpg:rgba'.
I try many things. No succes...

Sorry for the problems you are having.
There are potentially 2 issues you are hitting: 1) you have special characters in your foldername, which could be causing the issue and 2) the foldername is very long, and is very close to the maximum number of characters the ArchiCAD SDK and the Windows SDK will support (which I think is 260 chars from memory for the functions that are being used). So I would suggest exporting the Surface Catalog to the C: drive as per my previous suggestion, which should address both the potential causes for you problem.
Thanks
Paul

Hi !
Do "Fake shadow" for specular material is ok ?
In 3dsmax I get the desired colored shadow ( with colored glass ) but not in Archicad.
Cheers.

I vaguely recall that ArchiCAD produces double side geometry for colored glass, which may interfere with Fake Shadows. If this is infact the case, you can potentially use a Polygon Side node to disable one side of the geometry. If you cannot resolve this, please send through a .pln and I can take a closer look.HHbomb wrote: Tue May 12, 2026 2:42 pm Hi !

It could also be the Ray Epsilon is too high or too low, so experiment with that.
Thanks
