Hi all,
I have a plane which has a tiled material applied to it.
I wish to add a material that has an opacity (imagetexture) - a dirty surface to a portion of the tiles area. So want to overlay this on top of the first material. So the tiled surface looks dirty.
But i then wish to apply another opacity map to the dirty material to define the edges of the stain/smudge. I don't want the stain repeated over all of the tiles surface.
So to recap I want to have a large circular stain on a portion of a tiles floor. The stain itself will have transparency to see the base material in areas.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Best
Chris

Hu Chris,
Please have a look at Composite Material here:
https://docs.otoy.com/cinema4d/CompositeMaterial.html
And at Layered Material here:
https://docs.otoy.com/cinema4d/LayeredMaterial.html
In both cases you can add several layers of dirt on top of your tiled floor.
ciao,
Beppe

It's mainly the ability to create a small area of dirt and move it around the plane (floor)
