2026.1

When I open an OSL node, even with the LV off and the node unconnected, everything slows down so much I can't even highlight the text in the window in one movement.

I can't handle the "ADD" osl and I have to force quit C4D if I paste an OSL script

What's going on? How can I fix this?

Thanks in advance

PS- I have seen this post: viewtopic.php?t=77673
it did not solve my problem.

Hi,

Everything is working as expected here with OSL texture node.

Please make sure to upgrade to version 2026.1-v1.8.2:

Looking forward for your feedback.

Thanks for your reply Beppe.

I have updated to 2026.1-v1.8.2 per your suggestion.

Unfortunately this has not fixed the issue I'm experiencing.

I don't believe I'm reporting any new kind of bug, I haven't foudn any other reports of this issue elsewhere but I was hoping for someone with more technical expertise to help me troubleshoot the issues I'm experiencing on my machine.

Are you willing to attempt help me resolve this?

new information: in trying to rule out issues I tried an older version of C4D on my machine and I do not have this problem.

No closer to figuring out the problem, but it appears to be limited to this version of C4D.

So, shrug.
