Has anyone noticed with the new Cinema 4d 2026 and Otoy. (probably c4d)..... Now when I copy materials (built in earlier c4d version) to a new c4d 2026 scene, the gradient values are way off, causing the materials to have hardly and roughness, bump, etc...
Is this the new normal? I'll have to use an old C4D version until I finish this project in a year lol

Hi,
Have you tried to set the C4D 2026 Color Manager of the scene from ACES to Linear?

If not enough, please share an example scene that shows the issue in C4D 2026.
ciao,
Beppe

Ahh that was it! The only Silverwing video I skipped lol.
If you open up an old project in c4d 2026 it defaults to the color space you were using when you made it. If you copy materials to a new 2026 scene, the new scene is set to ACES.
Thank you!
