Hi Terryvfx,
I remember Houdini plugin supports node (e.g. Texture Image RGB node) file parameters starting with "op:", and build the texture from the op file path.

Hi Terryvfx,
Sorry for the delay, hazooka. We are still working hard on the release, hopefully, the first build for H21 will be published late this week or early next week.hazooka wrote: Mon Sep 08, 2025 7:23 am Still nothing? redshift released an update already... at least an alpha version please !
Thanks for reporting this, trogers. This is a Octane core issue, and will be forwarded to the core team.trogers wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 12:47 am Not sure if it's just me but there seems to be an issue with the way the Add texture tool is implemented in the PC version of Octane (2025 and 2026) that isn't properly adding textures. It works as expected on Mac using 2025, but I get different results on PC.
I'm adding these red and green gradients together:
red_gradient.jpg + green_gradient.jpg
On the Mac I get this result:
camera_distortion_test_mac.jpg
And on PC I get this:
camera_distortion_test_pc.jpg
I'm trying to build my own render target so that I can manipulate the universal camera distortion texture with Octane material nodes and therefore see my adjustments live in the render view. However given that there seems to be something funky with the Add node on PC my distortion textures are being stretched edge to edge horizontally as it's not aligning for proper UV.
Here is the scene file I built on Mac (2025.2.1.1, Houdini 20.5.684) camera_distortion_test.zip
Any perspective on why this would be greatly appreciated!
Seems like this has been fixed in 2025.3 and the next 2026 alpha build!trogers wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 12:47 am Not sure if it's just me but there seems to be an issue with the way the Add texture tool is implemented in the PC version of Octane (2025 and 2026) that isn't properly adding textures.
