Hi guys,

I'm struggling to get a proper workflow using the analytic light beams. I would like to have the light beams as a sepearte pass to overlay it in AE, but when I turn on the PostFX media AOV the rays completely dissapear in the beauty pass (which would be fine) in the LV and Picture viewer and I only get an empty exr (14kb, nothing when applying the extractor effect). Here are my render settings:

What am I doing wrong?

Any help would be much appreciated. :)

Hi,
there is an issue in Octane core with Beams in Post FX media AOV, it does work only if Fog has been enabled too, before enabling the PostFX media AOV:

Basically, beams and fog must to be both active to have beams in PostFX Media AOV., so you always need to add a little bit of post fog.

For future, the idea is to split the PostFX media AOV in two, one for post beams and one for post fog..

ciao,
Beppe
