Hi!

I am trying to achieve a very strong DOF, so the background gets really blurry.
But somehow, i can't get the f-stop below 0.01. I can type in lower numbers, but it won't have any effect.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Hey!
I don't think you can lower the f-stop further.
Things you can do to increase the DOF:
1. Scale the scene down.
2. Go to a longer focal length, and move your camera back.
3. Increase the aperture setting on your camera, you'll have to compensate on the focal length side.

Hope that helps!

As dom pointed out, if a low aperture ("ƒ-stop") isn't working as intended, it's an indicator of "something off" within the project file, likely the scale of the "scene" or assets.

Some people mistakenly use the 36mm value as the lens focal length, it's the imager (sensor / film plane) width. The 36 is referring to a rounded number of the 135 format in most modern "full frame" sensors.

PS: a whole page on photographic formats (applicable to rendering) will be released soon on the website.
