I ran into a problem purchasing a license. I believe I had this same problem last year. I can't remember how I resolved it. But this time I went to a completely different route. And I noticed something that should be addressed.

I'm located in the United States. I've been an octane user since version 3. So when I tried to purchase a license yesterday. Basically, my card kept flagging it and declining it. And I will get a text from my bank asking if I made this purchase. I would text back yes. And they asked me to make the purchase again. But the Otoy site would not allow me to purchase again for another 30 minutes. Stating it was in processing. So basically for a whole day, there was this constant cycle of me trying to make a purchase. My bank is declining it. I texted my bank saying yes I made this purchase. And they would tell me to make the purchase again. But I couldn't make it, and I would have to wait 30 minutes before trying again. But since I couldn't make the purchase immediately. The bank would start the process of flagging it.

After talking to otoy support yesterday I finally called my bank this morning so I can let them know I'm about to make this purchase. And do not flag it. They asked me for the information. And I gave them the company name is Otoy and the purchase amount is 239.88 euros. Which is $259.77 USD. My bank told me that they had not seen this company name and the charges they saw were different than what I told them. And it seems like the information was constantly changing with each purchase slightly when it comes to the company info. I didn't understand what they meant until I found a resolution to this problem.

This is what I emailed support after successfully making the purchase.
I was able to get it done. But not through normal means. I was able to load up a cash app card and make the purchase that way.

For future reference. I called my bank so they could pre-approve the charge. But my bank asked for the information. And I told him the company name was Otoy And the charge stated was 239.88 euros. Which is $259.77 USD.

The bank stated it wasn't seeing that exact charge or the company name. It was seeing the company name Studio Y but the charge was completely different. I didn't understand the charge being completely different from what I was seeing being purchased on Otoy site
until I made the purchase with the Cash-App card.

I see you charged an extra $8.15 USD. I get this is most likely a processing fee of some sort. But I do believe it needs to be stated on screen before we hit the purchase button. For complete transparency.
I know this was a long message. But it was a long headache for a day and a half. Trying to figure this out. And ultimately finding out I was being charged slightly more than what was stated on the site. So this is just to help anybody else with those types of issues. Especially if you live in the US. Also, I believe that an extra $8.15 USD should be stated when purchasing the license.

I believe their CC processor is Studio-Y - just like last year. I agree it should be noted on Otoy's payment page as "Studio-Y" is what the bank statement will say and nothing about Otoy or Octane.
