AOV Passes Not Saving
Hi everyone, I'm using Octane for Houdini Solaris build 2024.1.2.1, the Houdini build is 20.5.445. For some reason when selecting the Open Image Denoising option, the selected denoised AOV passes (diff. direct, diff. indirect, etc.) are not being saved. This happens in both the Object and Stage contexts. If I choose the standard Octane AI denoiser, it works just fine. I had the same issue with the 2024.1.2.0 version as well. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hi Sunamo_man,
Thank you so much for the post.
Could you please check if the "Octane Product type" is enabled in the Output tab?
or check if the AOV product type is set to Octane_raster..
Please share the sample scene if it does not fix!
cheers
Kind Regards

Everything is just very simple. Just a test scene of a sphere, cube, ground plane with basic materials applied, plus an HDRI and one area light. I also faced the same problem in an actual project, though, where it was much more complex. "Octane Product Type" and "Octane_raster" are both enabled. Still, the denoised AOV passes are coming out blank if I use Open Image denoiser. The same goes for Solaris and Object context. Very puzzling...
If it helps, I have Nvidia Studio Driver 565.90 installed and I'm using an RTX 2080 Q-Max.

Thank you so much for your patience.
This is not a bug.
The Open Image can denoise the Beauty AOV for now. Same can be replicated in OctaneRender Standalone.
Please use the Octane AI Denoiser for other denoise AOVs.
Cheers
