Hello,
My c4d render setting is set to vertical but the live viewer is showing me horizontal resolution.
Is there a setting that I might have touched?

Hi,
Live View considers thew horizontal dimension, have you tried to resize the Live View with portrait dimensions?
You can also click on the Lock icon to render at output resolution, then use the zoom factor to view the entire frame.
P.S. please avoid multiple posting, one request is enough, thanks.
ciao,
Beppe

Unfortunately this is just an ongoing annoyance with the live view window. It only considers the horizontal size and assumes all images are landscape, not portrait. anything above or below will simply be cut off. My most common workaround is to resize my entire c4d UI to make the live view window the correct aspect ratio. Its a pain but the simplest option. Otherwise youll need to use the lock icon and then start messing with the zoom and resize numerical values to the right to get the rendered image to fit your live view window.
It would be great if the live view simply ensured that the rendered image fits within the window. Nudge nudge, hint hint, subtle cough.
