I can't figure out how to setup motion blur in Octane Solaris. Any tips on the workflow?

Motion blur is implemented in native Solaris workflow and is enabled automatically like other renderers.
Have you tried the camera shutter? It would be more helpful if you share a scene here or pm.
cheers

I was able to figure out how to enable motion blur and velocity blur for LOP moving objects and SOP objects with transformation and velocity attribute.
I can't figure out how to enable velocity blur for instances on points.

Ok, it looks like instance velocities work too. BUT. There is an issue and I'm not sure if it's Houdini or Octane issue. If you cache the sim point cloud at the sop level then in lop Octane doesn't render velocity blur for instances.AlexeyAdamitsky wrote:I was able to figure out how to enable motion blur and velocity blur for LOP moving objects and SOP objects with transformation and velocity attribute.
You can have a look at the file and the simulation object. You'll need to re-sim the cache node.
If you disable the cache node things will work as expected.

OK, from my own troubleshooting, this was driving me crazy.
Solaris has a motion blur node, if you add that, then motion blur works in Solaris for Octane.
The only downside to this, is that it only works when rendering to Mplay. Not in the viewport. Have to remove the motion blur to see the animation in viewport (without motion blur).
