Hi,
How to get this kind of shader? (see attach.) Thin curtain that has light passing + roughness blurring the background.
With Diffuse I can get nice fabric (opacity + transmission) but I don´t know how to get that "blurring". I know only how to do it with Speculat material with "roughness".
Can you help, please?
Sheer curtain shader?

One of the methods relies on the Universal material:
• set to Diffuse or Thin Wall Diffuse
• Optionally with a Scattering Medium (white scattering value)
• Optionally with Sheen
Opacity is generally subject to avoidance, although it shouldn't cause much trouble for a single curtain with no VFX compositing in post or anything related.
The approach also depends on the mesh (with or without thickness) and [quality of and type of] the textures.
More or less the same approach applied on these renders from an upcoming post on Fabric shading.
Not a curtain but a similar. This one uses Diffuse transmission mode, no opacity, no medium (sheen was disabled):

Hi,
Using Universal material helped a lot. Thanks!
Below I attached two new pics: One with Specular transmission and one with Diffuse transmission.
I like that Specural gives some look through (etc. the man) but otherwise the Diffuse looks better. What to do about this?
(Diffuse Thin Wall didn´t look good).

Transmission type set to Specular essentially results in a "glass like" material. Not the most suited for such rough fabric.
In this configuration, the Diffuse "color" parameter is basically an "opaque parameter".
it may also introduce "fireflies" depending on the render kernel. Here, DL Kernel could suffice and PT suited but requires fine tuning.
This page on Octane sampling / kernel settings covers the details.
There is also a "color management issue", this page should cover it all and be applicable to any Octane plugin.
