Hey everyone! First time posting in the Blender octane group. Came over from C4D where I used octane for 7 years. :D

I have a question.
When I'm in a scene and moving around in the perspective camera, the sample count obeys the amount I put in the max preview samples.
However, when I switch to view the scene from the render camera's view, the sample count will just keep going and going. It doesn't adhere to either the max preview samples OR the max samples.
It will just keep going until I either switch to viewport shading or exit the camera back into the perspective cam. This kind of kills my workflow as I like to have the camera view pulled up as I work to see how things look in the live viewport render. But I don't want my GPUs going absolutely bonkers the entire time...
Is this just a bug?
Thanks!

Hey stuz0r! Nice to see you using Blender every now and then :)

Do you happen to have a render region? Sample count is uncapped when enabled. You can use the shortcut 'ctrl + alt + b' or go to view > view regions > clear render region to disable it.

You're probably using Render Region. That's not a bug, just the way it works in Octane Standalone and any plugin integration.

Good grief... You both were correct! The weird thing is I don't ever remember enabling that. Is it on by default?

Thank you a ton! I've been having fun playing around with it in blender!
