Hi all,
This is an Octane for LightWave 2024.1.0 build including the latest Octane 2023.1.2 & 2023.1.3 stable core.
This version supports Nvidia Ampere GPUs and as a consequence, we had to drop support for old Kepler cards with a compute model < 3.5. And please make sure to use a NVIDIA Studio driver with version at least 522.22 on Windows
To download Render Node app, please check out the 2023.1.2 release post & the 2023.1.3 release post

Hi,
Thanks for release,
please put link for network node installation also?
And it would be good to put changelog/list of added features ?
Also, can you elaborate, what's the difference between 2023.1.2 and 2023.1.3? i.e. why would one use older version (I suppose 2023.1.2 is older?)

Thanks for the post. OctaneRender node links are added now.
Sure, we will update the change logs asap!!
Some people like to stick with one version during the production and both 2023.1.2 and 2023.1.3 are stable.
However, 2023.1.3 has more improvements and fixes.
cheers

After installation it is possible that the menus for Octane Render are ghosted.
to redo these menus, simply download these 2 configurations (LW2024_Menus_Render_Octane_and_IPR_configs.zip)
In Lightwave:
- Go under File/Edit/Edit Menu Layout
- Pull down the branch of the Render menu
- Right click on the Octane branch and select Import and Replace Branch.
- Choose the file: Layout_Menu_Render_Octane.cfg
- Repeat for the IPR branch and this time choose: Layout_Menu_Render_IPR.cfg file
Happy Rendering!

For the network node you have to login into your account and go to Download section and choose Applications.Lewis wrote:Hi,

Scroll down to the Octane Render Network Rendering Node.
I think it is a good idea to not download the 2024.1 Node but click instead on the view older versions and download the 2023.1.3 version.
