I've been using Octane 3 & 4 since 2015
I was on a Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti until yesterday, and now on a Asus RTX 4070 Ti Super

I'm getting "There is no CUDA device which is selected" when launching Live Viewer on C4D

Is it possible to fix this problem while keeping Octane V4.05-R7?

I know there's a bunch of topics here and on Reddit, but I can't get a clear and definite answer for my case
Some say it's possible, others say no way..

Specs:

Code: Select all

- Cinema 4D R21.207
- Octane v4.05-R7
- Windows 10 Pro 64bit (Build 19045.4651)
- AMD Ryzen 9 7950X 16-Core 4.50 Ghz
- Nvidia Driver v32.0.15.6076
- Nvidia Control Panel v8.1.966.0
- DirectX v12
- NVIDIA GPU Computing Toolkit CUDA v12.6
- NVIDIA CUDnn v9.3.0

Sorry V4 is too old, and RTX 4090 is too new for it.
To have the RTX 30X0/40X0 support, you need to install OctaneRender 2020.2 or greater.
So, you need to upgrade your licenses, or go back to RTX 20X0.
