I'm using a MacBook Pro Mid 2012, and I know that the built-in NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M is completely useless, so I can imagine that a 750M won't make much of a difference.
For this reason, I am using a GTX 1080 Ti connected to the eGPU, but it will not work unless I match the HighSierra revision and driver version accurately, and I know that such a task is extremely complicated.
So I know that it is not recommended for everyone.
I also use the M1 Max MacBook Pro, but there is no need to compare the usability.
We strongly recommend that you also migrate to a new Mac or PC.

Hi, does the Rendering Network works on Blender? I'm trying to set up a master MacBook air and use my windows PC as a slave, I know is possible with 2024.1 version on C4D, but what about Blender? thank you!

Hello! Does anyone know the status of the iPad Pro App is?

I’ve got the new 13” M4 and am currently running iPadOS 18 Developer Beta 2. Checking the App Store, I see the latest version is 2023.1.06, which was updated 6d ago. Promising. However, when I run the app, I see the sample projects and one of my older scenes. When I go to open any of them, nothing happens. The app just sits there blank screen with all the app icons. Switching to Standalone Mode, and same thing. Nothing shows up.

Also, why is there no documentation for the iPad version? When I do a youTube search for any tutorials, the most recent one is a video that I made over a year ago! LOL What gives?

It was awesome to see the app featured at the M4 iPad Pro keynote, but it seems woefully unsupported. Is there any fellow iPadPro users out that actually using it? I would love to get back to using it myself.

Is there a x86 version of Octane for Cinema 4D on Mac OS? It seems to only list the ARM version in downloads. Since we're stuck waiting for Apple to pull their finger out and update the Mac Studio to a new SOC (still currently based on M2), there's no point me upgrading from my current beefy intel iMac until they do

the issue is surely caused by iPadOS 18 Beta, OctaneX for iPad works great on iPadOS 17.5.1:

Is last stable version Octane 2023.1.3 R4?
I've been away from 3D past 7-8 months and now installed this version... and it's very very unstable - crashes on every turn.
2023.1.2 R6 seems to be much more reliable... or maybe there is like 2023 1.3 R5 or 6 or maybe even 2023 1.4 or something?

c4doctane 2023.1.3-R4 has an issue with Vertex Maps, and a new fixed version is on the go!
So the currently more stable version is 2023.1.3-R3:

has anyone noticed that octane render does not work in macOS sequoia at the moment?
octane claims there is no render decide (see screenshot).
