Now a question : why we can't rotate the planes, how to make something else than a flat facade ?
I can rotate the camera around the planes but I can't rotate the planes with the osl applied, the texture don't work...
In Cinema 4D version rotating polygon planes doesn't work too but rotating object plane ( using object mode ) works fine. There is limitation in OSL code which use plane object axis instead of polygon normal direction.
I'm one of the person which made wParallax OSL script for Cinema 4D and I was very close with person who made script for 3dsMax. We made some features for Cinema 4D and Max. As I know you shouldn't any problems if you use it right.
Please be sure that you use latest OSL script. In Cinema 4D there is problem when parallax is rotated in polygon. You should use individual objects per interiors - not polygons.
Yes you have right, thank you for report that ! This OSL code stopped to work after last Octane updates. Rotating object cause that OSL code doesn't have right object world axis. I reported that issue here viewtopic.php?f=24&t=83348&p=434129#p434129
