Hi, my coworker running a 4090 started having issues after the latest Nvidia driver.
The scene starts rendering, does some samples then just freezes... doesn't matter if I change the angle or restart the render, it stays frozen. pressing the "stop and reset render data" button makes the program unresponsive for longer than it should and sometimes crashes.
The PC is running the latest driver, the latest matching standalone, and c4d plugin (latest stable)
I tried clean GPU driver installation both with DDU as well as with manual/custom driver installation with the "clean install" checkbox on.
Windows is also updated to the latest version.
I had one octane crash log that says:
device 0: failed to bind device to thread, since it's already bound
device 0: failed to initialize context
device 0: failed to initialize render thread 000002ef4d0ff120
I also have a c4d bug report file attached.
Worth noting that the LV updates in r20 with octane 2020. these issues present in R25, and R23... have not tried 2024.4.1
Thanks in advance for any help.

I would recommed not using the latest NVidia driver for now. Roll back to the previous driver you had working for you.
