a valid internet connection is required to activate

Hello friends, all of a sudden i get this error upon cinema startup.

I tried this:

1. unlocking the license on website
2. disabling anything that looked like network vpn or proxy (I was not tampering with this prior to this happening, but just in case)
3. granting passthrough firewall to anything that looks like cinema4d or octane exe, including services. (the firewall was disabled, this was done just in case)
4. switching my PC from ethernet to wifi and back
5. reinstalling octane,
6. downgrading octane
7. i can access this website live.octanerender.com https://i.gyazo.com/e7ecb7b7d3d40e5bf3c ... 316742.png

What activity was done in last couple of weeks, before running octane:
installed latest nvidia drivers and marvelous designer, thats all.

new update:

I tried to run cinema + octane with VPN and it worked! After that i pinged this address without VPN and i got 100% loss. Any suggestions?

What was the solution to this?

I have the same problem with R26...

My internet connection is fine, my Lightwave license is connected fine, C4D is connected to the internet, the firewall isn't blocking anything. I'm at a loss.

My main reason to switch to C4D was because of the Octane integration and my familiarity with it - and I can't use it!

Double check the Firewall rules, in general it is the culprit.

Thanks, I checked the app but not specific rules. I've managed to activate it now
