As far as I know Octane does not support coatings.
Any idea how to create believable foam bubble shader for sunlight situations?

I tried it with a very low IOR for specular material, but it still has this massive glass look.
Alternatively a glossy material with a higher filmwidth and index gives me the dispersion look I´m after, but it´s missing refractions of course.
Is there any workaround / magic trick left?

There's a soap bubble material in the LiveDB. You'll need to take into account modeling of bubles - for glass to look right the bubble model must have two sides, as in reality. If the bubble is onesided, like a sphere model, the IOR of the air inside will still be equal to the glass material IOR, effectively making it look like solid.

many thanks, matej, I haven´t thought of modeling the bubbles two sided.
I´ll also check the LiveDB.
